Hugs by the Pound is a store specializing in items for children (even adults) with special needs such as Autism, PDD, Aspergers, Sensory Integration Disorder, ADHD and the list goes on.
Many of the products you will find here will be hand made by WAHMs (Work-at-Home-Moms), some of which are mothers(or other family members) to a person with special needs. The products made by larger manufacturers are products that my husband and I have used with our Autistic son and found very useful in our day to day lives taking care of him.
In addition, a great deal of products that are planned for Hugs by the Pound will be made in the USA and will be as eco-friendly as possible.

My son has a tough time sleeping. The day we received the blanket in the mail he was having a hard day. I took it out of the box and handed it to him. He took it to his room and fell asleep with it over him within minutes! He has been falling asleep and staying asleep with it over him since we received it in the mail. Thank you for this well made product at a reasonable price!!!
