My name is Amy and I am the owner of this blog. My son, Gregory is Autistic and that, of course, is what has led me to creating this blog, as well as my weighted blankets.

Hugs by the Pound was originally the name of my weighted blanket business. I decided I love the name so much, to keep the name and use it on my blog, along with the blankets.

I used to sell my blankets on ebay, but quite frankly, the fees have gotten so steep over there, I now keep them on etsy, which is much more fee friendly.

I may not post on this blog daily, but I love to come over and post any time I find something I thing is interesting or related to children with special needs.
